Stock Earnings: Gordmans Stores & Adobe Systems
Gordmans Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: GMAN) announced its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended results. The company’s fourth quarter earnings climbed 21% owing to higher same-store sales growth and addition of six stores last year.
The company reported a fourth quarter profit of $10.2 million, or $0.53 a share, as against $8.4 million, or $0.44 a share, in the same quarter last year. Net sales increased 10% to $185.1 million. The company in November had forecasted earnings of $0.48 to $0.52 a share, on revenue of $185 million to $187 million.

Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: ADBE) reported financial results for its first quarter of fiscal year 2012 ended March 2, 2012.
The company reported a first quarter profit of $185.2 million, or $0.37 a share, as compared to $234.6 million, or $0.46 a share, in the same period last year. Revenue increased 1.7% to $1.05 billion. The company expected to report a per-share profit in the range of $0.54 to $0.59 a share, on revenue of $1.03 billion to $1.08 billion.
Looking forward, the company expects second quarter of 2012 revenue to be in the range of $1.090-$1.140 billion and diluted earnings per share (EPS) to be in the range of $0.37-$0.43 on a GAAP basis, and $0.57-$0.61 on a non-GAAP basis. Analysts are expecting the company to report revenue of $1.182 billion and EPS of $0.64 per share for the second quarter of 2012.
Shares of ADBE are down over 4% in the pre-market session.
